Six Flags.....10.08.2012

Tyler and Brett had the day off from school. So Brett went to the State Fair with Colleen and Tyler, Beau, and I went to Six Flags.  It was such an awesome day -- I forgot what it was like to have your stomach in your throat. We raced from rollercoaster to rollercoaster. Matter of fact, I think that is the only thing we went on :)  except for Beau and Ty

they were the crazy ones, and went to Dive bomber alley ......

Green Thumb

So I can grow grass..........

So I can grow potted plants........

 

I can grow Sunflowers.........

 

but apparently, I

can just transplant pumpkin plants and bring out every bug known to man to come and EAT and DESTROY my pumpkin plants.....Ugh! It was such an embarrassing site. I just could'nt take a picture.

I was so hopeful...well better luck next year!!!

Piano

November 22, 2009 piano recital. We are so proud of Brett. He really enjoys music...you can tell when you hear him play. Enjoy:0)

November 22, 2009 Piano Recital - watch the entire video please. Tyler wrote his own music and played it at the recital. He titled his piece 'Good Times and Bad Times'-a big surprise to me :0)

All-Region Band Concerts

Congrats to Brett!! He made 2nd chair french horn and will play in the 1st band - Wind Symphony. All-Region bands will perform January 24th. Please let me know if you would like a CD of Brett's performance.

'Rain-man' Pictures

The picture you see above and in the Title are pictures of the Pacific Coastal Highway, U.S. 101. I took the pictures by hanging my camera out of the sun roof of our rental car this summer. I really love to just 'point and shoot' and then see what comes of it. I like to call these random pictures my "Rainman Pictures". If you do not know what I am talking about, watch the credits of the movie'Rainman' and then you will know what I mean.....pretty cool huh!:)

Last 'Marching Band' Performance

Brett got a chance to play with the high school marching band last night. He is really excited for next year. He will march and play the mellophone. Now we just have to find an instrument for Ty to play so he can march. He was in the pit and played the piano. You will here him play "clocks" in the last video.

The marching band played their schools' fight song. "Pride of the East".....Go RAIDERS.

Way to end the Marching Band Season. You did 'AWESOME' Ty.

Every Halloween we paint window scenes. This year we chose Rockin' Skeletons! We had so much fun! (I love it 'cause my creativity takes over and I never know what I will end up with ;0) anyway, here are the pics.

Give me LITTLE BOY NOISE again.......please!

Gone are the days of little boy noise and hearing M.O.M. every 5 seconds.
Now days it seems to be "just me" in a house all alone. Boys at school, hubby traveling, pug past-out in his favorite spot.
The hum of the computer, the crackling of the ice maker, the whirling of the dryer, it's enough to drive you crazy! How I long for "LITTLE KID NOISE" again.
I sure do miss....
"Mom - how do I change the blue sky to my favorite color -orange?"
"Mom - why are boy pigs pink? - don't they know that's a GIRL color!?"
"Mom - I don't want to wash my face - why can't the dog just lick me clean?"
My how time goes by in a blink ;o). I am thankful of all the memories . . . I wish I could go back in time for a day and soak up the precious moments again.
